Rebecca Brower is an award-winning UK based Theatre Designer. Rebecca graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama in 2011 and in 2012 completed a year on the Design Team for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic games.
Rebecca was the winner of The Stage Newspaper Design award 2011 aimed at up and coming Theatre Designers and the Equity Young Members Bursary Award 2012. In 2015 Rebecca was a finalist for the Old Vic 12 Designer. Rebecca has been nominated for three Off West End BEST SET DESIGN awards for Hamlet (The Rose Theatre Bankside, 2013), Home Chat (The Finborough Theatre, 2016) and A Lie of the Mind (Southwark Playhouse, 2017).
Most recent shows include Beautiful Thing by Jonathan Harvey, a site specific take on the 1993 famous play. This was directed by Bradley Hemmings and Robby Graham on the council estates of Thamesmead. At the end of 2018 Rebecca designed The Great North Star, The Closing Ceremony of the Exhibition of the North, on the banks of the river Tyne in Newcastle.
Rebecca designed the hit new musical All or Nothing, written and directed by Carol Harrison which transfers into the West End in 2018. Other successful productions included The Boys in the Band, by Mart Crowley which transferred into the West End in 2017.
Alongside Theatre Rebecca also works in large-scale events. Some of her most notable projects include the Torch Ceremony for the Rio 2016 Paralympics and Tom and Jerry’s world tour for Warner Brothers. Rebecca will announce new events coming soon for 2019.
Rebecca is also Associate Designer for Bat out of Hell the Musical, Designed by award winning Stage Designer Jon Bausor. Bat out of Hell is currently playing in the West End and in 2019 will open on Broadway.
